  1. The article does raise a good point: complaints about food stamps has shifted from subsidizing junk food to subsidizing extravagant food. We don't want people on assistance to eat too poorly or too well.

    The Department of Agriculture doles out food stamps - I guess I'd rather see them subsidizing organic and sustainable foods than corn syrup.
