snOMG Updates!

We'll fly to KC tomorrow.

This shit ain't a joke.

More updates to come!

UPDATE -
Here's how it went down.

Around 10pm last night, Mr. Perfect and I ventured out to meet friends at a bar in Dupont. And this was happening:
I thought this whole "snow" thing might be an exaggeration. At this point, I still had hope.
Also, I was busy flashing people on the metro.
Just flashin' a little Christmas cheer!

The metro ride was uneventful.
However, the walk to the bar wasn't.
My eyeballs were constantly assaulted by snowflakes.
Seriously, snow was flying into my eyeballs and it was hurty.
Thank GOD I packed goggles in my purse!
Beer goggles, snow goggles, it's all the same.

After a few sips of champagne, we were off to another bar.
While we were doing the "do we wait 13 minutes for the metro or try to get a cab - wait no cabs are stopping - I guess we need to go back down to the metro" game, I did some snow angeling in Dupont.
Three metro rides, checking flight status (cancelled) on my phone, some games of pool and shuffleboard and a few rounds later, we were walking home from the metro at 2:30a.m.
There was already about 2-3 inches on the ground.
This morning, I got up around 9 a.m. to see what the story was.
The story was snOMG!!!!1!!1!!11!!
View out of our kitchen window.
I finally ventured out.

10 inches.

Since getting up, two more of our flights have been cancelled.
We're leaving tomorrow at 1:30pm. It looks like the snow will be done by then.
We'll see what happens.

Current concerns:
1) We're out of coffee filters. Bad news. I need more coffee in my Baileys.

2) We don't have any food at our house. We were uh, planning on leaving for about 10 days. Also, Mr. Perfect prefers daily shopping.

Not a big deal considering we have two grocery stores within walking distance, but DC is known for shitting itself and making insane runs on grocery stores.

Last night Mr. Perfect rattled off 5 epic runs that came to the top of his mind - including runs on plastic wrap and duct tape. Remember those days? Yeah.

So, I'm guessing there's no milk, beer, etc etc.
Blast.

3) Avatar is only playing in 3-D at the theater up the street (3 blocks from our house). I don't know if I dig the 3-D thing.

4) I feel like I should be sledding or something but, snOMG it's cold! and I'm lazy. and there is a special someone in my life named Snugglie that has requested some quality time.

Good things:
1) I'm lazy. This snowed in thing bodes well for my laziness.

2) Love Actually. Watching it now.

3) Internets

4) We have a fully stocked liquor cabinet, wine and I got an awesome bottle of champagne for Christmas from my boss.

5) Movie theater. Three blocks away. Avatar, Up in the Air, etc.
