Q&A - Part 1

Answers to your formspring questions (sure, you can still submit!):

why is your picture of a man?
I think I might have written this question myself as a test, but meh, I can't remember so I'll answer it.

I'm lazy and didn't upload a picture for my formspring page.

Are we human or are we dancer?
I like to think of myself as a highly evolved human dancer.
Please don't think that highly evolved = good dancer.

How's the new job?
It's great! Thanks for asking!
I'm in that awkward new kid phase where you're learning the ropes, trying to stay busy, meeting people, finding the restroom, ordering supplies, posing with Blackberries - you know, standard stuff. I've been extremely lucky in that a ton of programs and protocol (voicemail system, copier billing system, etc) are the exact same as my previous job. So. lucky. It's nice not to have to relearn everything, especially when you just need to make a quick copy.

Mr. Perfect and I had already scheduled our trip to KC for Christmas (we leave next Saturday!) and my office is closed from Dec. 24- Jan. 1, so I will have a two week break after my first two weeks are complete. I think it will be good, a bit of a slower on-boarding. I expect to hit the ground sprinting coming January.

And I'm very excited.

It's exciting to know that you have challenging work to do on projects you find very interesting.
I've been missing that for about a year.

Right now I'm working on finding my new routine at home. I'm working from 9-6 most days. I was temping 9-5, so I'm getting home a bit later. The nice part is the metro is less crowed at 6:15 than it was at 5:00.

Part of that routine adjustment is finding time to come here - the past week I was pretty much absent. I hope that doesn't become the norm. I just didn't have a lot to say - work was good, home was good, the end.

I will continue to write small posts on my walk to/from work via cell as noteworthy things occur (noteworthy in this case means really random).

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll fall on some ice in front of a crowd of people (or something equally thrilling) soon.
